Clearly as we have seen through history, JC Penney in America will survive probably as long as the cockroaches. Not only have they so graciously and flawlessly flowed with the fashion cycles of the past 50 years, they’ve come to Midtown Manhattan. My skeptic bargain fashion eye skimmed right over their doors and straight to their website.
Since I have never been in there to look for clothes, I wanted to see:
1. dresses
2. price tags
As a person who rarely (almost never) pays retail, I wanted to know if they had anything worth writing home about.
Turns out the website is VERY interactive with categories upon subcategories allowing you to “drill down” to the exact product you are looking for. There’s also a “create your own look” button where you can pick out outfits and “store” them in your virtual closet. Alrighty then. You and your buddies can then rate and review your outfits. Excellent.
The most surprising? The reviews. Freakin’ tons and tons of people reviewing. (I mean, seriously?) I couldn’t believe it.
Who in the universe writes a review on the JC Penney website? Evidently, alot of people. Okay, not bad JC Penney.
So I found the below:
Grecian Wrap Drape Dress $39.99
These shoes? $39.99.
These shoes? $37.99.
With a vintage bag, scarf and a hat, there’s no way your night won’t be fabulous in this outfit.
