Be-Bop in the Co-Op

Off the beaten path I found a place where I not only got great bargains, I noticed there was booth after booth of different vendors with individual “stores”. They call it an antique “co-op”. This is a place where you can rent a booth, a shelf, a showcase or a wall to display your items whatever they may be. Most vendors in the “co-op” sell art, collectibles, furniture, fashion, jewelry and accessories. Much to my surprise I found quite a few vintage and second hand dealers selling jewelry, accessories, clothes and shoes. I was very impressed at the selections as well as the prices to say the least!

As tough as I am on pricing there were quite a few things that fit the bill for my bargain fashion blog. Today was a handbag day. There were two vendors that I fell in love with that had excellent prices on the bags I found. After speaking individually with the sellers, it turns out they have a combined 30 years of vintage selling experience.

Seller #1 said that her inspiration comes from color, fabric and print trends. She keeps the prices low to keep a good following. In turn, she has quite a high turnover of merchandise. Her specialty is vintage jewelry, shoes and accessories.

Seller #2 has been selling handcrafted artifacts from around the world for well over 20 years. In her international adventures she has incorporated fashion, jewelry and accessories into her collection. She has a wide variety of new and vintage jewelry from the U.S. as well as far away lands.
